Atlanta holds a significant place in American civil rights history, being the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. The Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site in the Sweet Auburn district includes the King Center, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and King’s childhood home. The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is another compelling museum that engages visitors with interactive exhibits, offering a profound understanding of the civil rights movement. World-Class Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the world, is a major draw for visitors of all ages. The Ocean Voyager exhibit features a remarkable 100-foot underwater tunnel, allowing visitors to walk through a massive tank surrounded by a diverse array of sea life. I love learning in this water world.

Centennial Olympic Park, built for the 1996 Summer Olympics, serves as a central gathering place in downtown Atlanta. The park’s fountains, gardens, and sculptures create a vibrant urban oasis. The nearby Olympic Cauldron, a relic from the Games, stands as a reminder of Atlanta’s role as a host city. The park hosts various events and concerts throughout the year, adding to its appeal as a recreational and entertainment hub.

The BeltLine, a former railway corridor transformed into a walking and biking trail, showcases outdoor art installations and connects various neighborhoods. This is my favorite part to do in Atlanta.
